Enhancing Cybersecurity Awareness: Join ETSB’s Interactive Campaign
In today’s digital landscape, safeguarding data security and protecting intellectual property are paramount concerns demanding substantial resources from organizations. Recognizing the prevalent cyber threats, the Eastern Townships School Board (ETSB) is launching a dynamic cyber security awareness campaign designed to empower its workforce in tackling these challenges head-on.
Amidst the ever-evolving digital realm, the primary goal of this campaign is to heighten awareness regarding cybersecurity issues. By fostering a culture of best practices in network usage among all employees, the aim is to fortify the organization’s resilience against cyber threats. On average, ETSB deflects 900 spam messages, 125 phishing attempts, and 250 instances of malware each week, highlighting the critical need for heightened vigilance.
To facilitate this initiative, concise virtual training sessions are available online. These sessions aim to equip staff members with insights into digital threats such as viruses, ransomware, mobile device security, phishing, and social engineering strategies.
Given the vital significance of computer threat awareness and in alignment with government security mandates for public institutions, this campaign is mandatory for all ETSB employees. Cybersecurity isn’t solely the responsibility of IT teams; it’s a collective responsibility. No individual is immune to incidents related to phishing, intellectual property theft, or inadvertent installation of malicious software. By cultivating better reflexes to thwart these threats, everyone becomes better equipped to confront them, ultimately strengthening the organization’s defenses.
To facilitate your engagement and learning, we encourage you to explore our engaging and informative tools developed in collaboration with our partner, Terranova. These interactive capsules, available at your convenience, aim to enhance your cybersecurity knowledge and readiness.
